We are delighted to announce that our Artistic Director and Soprano, Susan Coates will be performing with the wonderfully talented pianist, Nick Goodall, in Bath Abbey on Friday 17th of November. Susan was approached by Julian House, (a charity for the homeless in Bath) to provide 30 minutes of music during their ‘vigil’ in Bath Abbey for the homeless.
30 minutes is a long time to fill in a Service and Bath Abbey have rules as to what can be performed. With this in mind, Sue and Nick decided that a programme with a mixture of both sacred and secular songs would be appropriate, with the theme of the evening in mind.
It’s a big deal singing solo in Bath Abbey, without a mic, and with an unknown number in the audience (could be small, could be numerous). Here is the programme, which is due to start at approximately 10.00 pm.
