It’s Viennese Season

After the success of last week’s concert in Melksham to raise funds for Dorothy House Hospice, we have two very different events coming up within 4 days of each other.  Although each performance is designed around a Viennese theme, each concert will take place at very different venues and with different programmes.
The first is a performance by three of our Soprano members, Rachel Allard, Susan Coates and Anne Braley for the Calne Music and Arts Festival on Saturday 13th October, starting at 7.30 pm in Marden House, Calne. The performance will consist of a rolling 45 minute tribute to the music of Strauss, Offenbach, Lehar, Rodgers and Hammerstein and Gershwin with intricate three part harmonies, designed to send you home singing. Nick Goodall will once again lead us with his amazing skills on the piano. This is a shared concert with Strings Incognito who will perform in the second half. Tickets are £8 and are available from www.cmaf.org.uk – event 27.

Our second event takes place down in beautiful Dorset at the highly acclaimed White Lion Inn, Bourton on Wednesday 17th October. Here we will perform in association with Musica da Camera.  A programme of Viennese treats with particular emphasis on the music of Robert Stolz, most famous for his operetta ‘White Horse Inn’ as well as the addition of some Schubert and Mozart. We will perform in between servings of a delicious menu of fine food and wine.  Singers Susan Coates, Arabella Heaton and William Tyson Smith will delight the audience, being back by popular demand, and ably accompanied, once again, by Elaine Korman on piano. A programme designed to send you home waltzing!

To book email relax@whitelionbourton.co.uk or call 01747 840866.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Best Wishes From All At Opera Sulis
