Christmas Is Coming!

It is always a special and somewhat hectic time of year for musicians, especially singers and we are very glad to be able to actually ‘sing’ this year in a couple of events.

The first is an Advent event in the village of Bourton, Dorset on Wednesday the 1st of December, where you can find a few of us, together with our colleagues from Musica da Camera at the White Lion Inn providing carols and Christmas songs as a backdrop to the pub’s contribution to this celebration throughout the village.

Secondly, we are very happy to be joining Nick Goodall and the all female voice choir ‘Chorula’ for a concert at St Andrew’s Church, Chippenham. Entitled ‘Christmas Is Coming’, this concert will include choral arrangements of well – loved carols and songs, congregational carols with descants, entertaining readings and guest soloists, with some from Opera Sulis. We are raising funds for the Jessie May Children’s Hospice whose specialist nurses provide at home nursing and respite care for children and young people that have a terminal or life-limiting condition throughout the South West. They have been providing free specialist at home support since 1996, and it is only through the generosity of supporters that they can continue to be there for families for many years to come. We hope that this concert will go some way in helping to keep this wonderful charity going, so please come along and support us and them. We know there are lots of Christmas concerts but we hope that this one will be a little different with new arrangements and a brand new choir.

Please follow this link to find out more details and how to by tickets which are £10
